Graven Images are interior designers on Blythswood Square, a new 5 star boutique hotel in the former RSAC building at Blythswood Square, Glasgow, due to open this month.

We have designed the 100 bedrooms, world-class spa, screening room, the rally bar, the main bar and restaurant, meeting and event spaces, the salon and reception. We have also designed all of the furniture throughout the whole of the project – a brand new range of bespoke furniture pieces including dining chairs, lounge chairs, tables (manufactured by Modus), all bedroom furniture (manufactured by Thomas Johnstone) and all of the bathrooms (manufactured by IQ Quadro). We have also designed a range of bespoke lampshades and light fittings which were manufactured by Blackmoon Lighting and Dorval. The bespoke carpets and rugs which we designed throughout have been manufactured by Gravity.

We have also specified a wide range of Harris Tweed throughout including some patterns that haven’t been used in 60 years. We spent time at the mill with the weavers, to decide on the range.

The architects on this project are Ron Galloway architects in Edinburgh who have worked very closely with us on all aspects. They have also designed a brand new building to the rear of the original building.

The main contractor on the project are Chard Construction.
