The Corinthian, Glasgow

Graven Images is nearing completion of the interior refurbishment of The Corinthian in Glasgow.
The Corinthian is one of Glasgow’s landmarks. Now a restaurant and club, the building was previously the city’s high court; its main chamber adorned with an unexpectedly rich domed ceiling.
The New Corinthian Club will include a cutting-edge Casino, Cocktail Lounge, Bar and Brasserie, meeting and events spaces, celebrations spaces, parlour, screening lounges and club, and is due to open in the Spring.
Great care has been taken to conserve and restore the building’s impressive design features – many of which had been added over the years and had not been seen by the public for over 40 years. The result will be a beautiful blend of elegant dining, entertainment and boutique-style casino in a uniquely impressive setting. Casino Manager Cathy McGuire, in an interview for Global Player Magazine says: “Multi-entertainment venues are the leisure industry’s latest trend, and the Corinthian will be one of the very best – an absolute must see, must visit’ location.”
Designing our first casino has been a real learning curve. The result will pay homage to the existing architecture, yet will also have its own particular twist – making the whole building work harder to meet all the requirements of a demanding operation.
