Tinderbox 4 now open in Princes Square

9.10.09

Graven Images has just completed the interior design of the fourth Tinderbox site – at Princes Square, Glasgow.

We designed the first Tinderbox in 1998 on Byres Road, as an outlet to showcase Matthew Algie coffee and a laboratory to test their products. It quickly became a local landmark, and we went on to design a North London version in Islington in 2001. It was another big hit with the locals but with a much greater take-out business. We designed the third Tinderbox in 2006 in Glasgow’s Merchant City and another site is currently in progress in Aberdeen.

Whilst all four are quite different, they retain a common language that reflects the spirit of the brand and the memory of founder David Williamson.
